Do u know where your coffee comes from? Do you know what country, what community, the farmer who grew it? Do you know where the money from the sale of your coffee goes?
Would you like too?
Mtn2Sea Coffee is more than just buzz words and marketing. When you’re drinking Mtn2sea coffee, You will know exactly where your coffee came from and where the profits from your coffee are going? The coffee in your bag comes from a single origin mountain farm that’s over 5000’ up in the small Honduran village of Pacheco. Our specialty coffee has a high cupping score of 86 and was grown in the shade by our ministry partner Mr. Abel Mejia and his family.
Mtn2Sea Coffee is not just Farm to Cup… We are Farm to cup, Back to Farm! Why are we doing coffee? Mtn2Sea Ministry started Mtn2Sea Coffee to raise funds in order to continue to be able to do ministry serving those in need, while sharing the Gospel. The coffee industry is extremely hard work, with very little to show from it, for those at the farm level. The majority of the people around the world, who work in the coffee trade, live day to day and struggle greatly. Spending a little more on our coffee, will allow us to help these people have a better future!
Why this farmer? We met Brother Abel while down in Central America doing disaster relief, after back to back devastating hurricanes. Through Abel and his family, we found a ministry partner that not only could we serve with in his mountain village, but one that was growing excellent coffee. We have already been able to complete many projects in the farm’s community, such as feeding the hungry, fixing homes, doing work at the village clinic, etc.
This work is done not by Mtn2Sea Ministries, but as a partnership between Mtn2Sea and Mejia farms. We don’t have a business partnership with Brother Abel, we have a ministry partnership! From the very first day, we agreed to do ministry, not business!
To really effect change in poor countries, we need to partner with them giving them the resources so they can help their own people. That is where we come in. THAT IS WHERE YOU COME IN. Just sending a check will never solve the problem of poverty. Them being able to sustain themselves is the only thing that can defeat their poverty.Buying Mtn2Sea Coffee might be a little more than your used to paying, but it will allow Mtn2Sea Ministries to be able to serve the least of these and those affected by disasters at home and around the world.
From the very beginning, up 5000 ft above sea level on the side of a mountain in Central America, all the way down to 12 ft above sea level on St. Simons Island, GA, we have been involved in the entire process of the coffee you are buying. From being there when the coffee was picked, to eating on the farmers porch, to the roasting and hand packaging, Mtn2Sea was personally involved in your coffee! So believe us when we say, this coffee is personal to us.
Our goal is for Mtn2Sea Coffee to become personal to you as well.
We pray that you will learn more about the many ways you can personally get involved with Mtn2sea Coffee (including serving in the farm's community on a mission trip with us). The truth is, we are not even asking you to buy coffee from us, but instead, like brother Abel the farmer, to become a ministry partner with us! Buy from us, get some great coffee, and then watch how we use your money to serve back at the farm and around the world.
Please consider partnering with us in serving those in great need. It’s simple, you buy coffee from us, we serve those in need while sharing the Gospel.
